Risk & Insurance Coordinator

LHH is seeking a Risk & Insurance Coordinator for a full-time temporary opportunity with an established organization in San Diego. This role is ideal for someone with commercial insurance claims experience who can also support insurance procurement and risk-related activities. Claims will be the primary focus, with additional responsibilities involving insurance proposals, coverage information, Certificates of Insurance, and vendor insurance requirements.

This position is expected to begin as a temporary assignment, initially anticipated for approximately two months, with the potential to extend through the end of the year and possibly develop into a permanent opportunity.

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour

Employment Type: Temporary with potential for permanent employment

Schedule: Full-time, standard business hours

Location: San Diego, CA (Mission Valley, In office)

Responsibilities

• Field insurance claims from tenants and coordinate appropriate follow-up
• Submit commercial insurance claims to insurance providers and maintain supporting documentation
• Support property and general liability claims
• Track claims and maintain organized communication throughout the process
• Review insurance proposals, quotes, coverage information, and Certificates of Insurance
• Review vendor contracts for insurance requirements
• Support insurance procurement needs related to property acquisitions, development, improvements, and changes that may require adjustments to coverage
• Work with internal stakeholders and insurance partners to keep claims and insurance matters moving forward

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial insurance claims
• Knowledge of property and general liability claims
• Experience working with insurance carriers, brokers, or similar insurance partners
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and follow-up
• Exposure to insurance procurement, insurance proposals, coverage review, Certificates of Insurance, or vendor insurance requirements preferred
• Experience within insurance, commercial real estate, property management, or a related environment is helpful
• Familiarity with D&O and Employment Practices Liability insurance is a plus

Candidates coming directly from an insurance brokerage or similar commercial insurance environment are encouraged to apply. Direct real estate experience is not required.
